Kababayan Overseas
( Europe Norway and Germany )
To work overseas, Filipino workers
should be equipped with the
knowledge of how to go about the
process of application. These are
not simple job huntings only. Yes,
there would be a lot of overseas job
ads in news papers, OFW news in
TV's, and even in the Internet but
have to be prepared – plus one of
the most important aspects in
working overseas is to have complete
documentation requirements.

The Philippine Overseas Employment
Administration (POEA) is under the
authority of the Department of Labor
and Employment (DOLE). It is tasked
to regulate the employment of
overseas Filipino workers. The POEA
also manages certain services to
assist and support the employment
processes of skilled overseas
Filipino workers in the world,
assisting Filipino communities in
all countries.
The POEA also has a recruitment and
overseas job placement service
called the Government Placement
Branch (GPB). The GPB provides a
facility in the employment of
overseas Filipino workers. Since its
establishment in the 1970s, it has
achieved a lot in terms of
recruitment and placement of
overseas Filipino workers in all
parts of the world. It has already
deployed several thousands of highly
qualified Filipino workers to the
United States, as well as countries
within the Middle East, Europe, and
Asia.
Filipinos who want to work overseas
will find it initially difficult to
apply for an overseas job. That is
why they should first do some
research as to what documentation
requirements they need to prepare.
This will ensure their chances of
getting hired. Whether they apply
through POEA's GPB, accredited
recruitment agencies, or are
directly hired by foreign employers,
Filipino workers still need to
prepare documents to expedite their
hiring process. Without these
documents you will not be able to
work abroad.
Here are the lists of documents
required for a Filipino worker to work abroad. Documents required may
include any or all in the given list, depending on where you applied for
an overseas job. Basically these are the common documents that are being
required. These documents are for employment for land based jobs and
POEA registration requirement

without prior experience of

is very difficult to obtain these

process of applying for an overseas
job, it is advisable to take note of
every little detail that you may
encounter. That little detail will
not seem important at that time, but
may come in handy later on. Good
luck!
